LIKE A SHIP
Poem logo |
Like a ship l lay in the harbor
Serena and abandoned, wandering who will come to me
Then when all hopes were almost lost
There came a pirate
Who bore no suspicious at all of his calling
And me too glad to see someone at last
With all my heart smiled I him
But I soon found that the pirate
Who bore no suspicious of his calling
Like every one on earth had his defect
Though good of heart,he was not the good passenger,
Though the good passenger, he was not good at heart
So with conflict I had to wait for another passenger
But who knows whether he will be worse
So I tread life’s way in ingnorance and in joy
I go my daily way not caring to remember yesterday
For it will only bring me memories of sorrows
But then our yesterday regret may turn into tomorrow’s joy
