IN LOVE WITH MY STEP [Episode 9]

Episode
9 – I love you

Naomi:
What the hell is going on here? Can’t someone explain this to me? I asked and
everyone kept quiet.

She
continued: Faridat, I thought I heard you saying you are falling for my brother
“Farad”?  What? I mean to ask , what is
He saying about it?. Faridat was quiet for a second. Then she replied: I don’t
think, he feels the same way then I heard Zara signed…I gave her a
questioning look.

With
the way she spoke, I had to reply her saying; I’m sorry Faridat, I don’t mean
to play with your feelings all I have been doing was to get Zara’s attention.

We
planned it together – said Priscilla as she came out of her hiding place. She
continued: Farad is in love with Zara and he has been uncomfortable with her
sudden reaction. It’s really unpleasing to see my brother being hurt by the
woman he loves. She turned to Zara and asked her why she did this to him…with
a serious look.

Zara
replied: I’m sorry Farad. I don’t mean to hurt you. Believe me I was really
hurt, but my mom cautioned me to stay clear since we’re now siblings. I’m
really sorry I should have told you. – It’s okay my love, I glad you say it
now. I replied.

Faridat
was already pissed off with the discussion so she left. Crying… am sorry I had
to use her to get zara..am so sorry I said within me .Naomi tried  calling her back but she snubbed her.

Naomi:
This is really complicated right now. You too know (facing Zara and Farad) that
this relationship can’t work. Why all of these drama?.

Priscilla:
No big sister, it can work. They are both Muslims. According to Islamic laws
they both can get married.

  Author’s POV.

 Naomi was confused maybe because she’s a
Christian so she wasn’t really comfortable with it. But then she have to act
cool and listen to them.

Zara:
That’s true. How did you know that Priscilla?

Priscilla:
Smiles… Adeiza told Farad and Farad told me.

Zara:
even though it’s acceptable. No family in Nigeria would ever want to be the
first to practice it.  And I’m sure my
mom won’t permit. – don’t say that Zara. She will, she’s a Muslim and her
husband my dad is also a Muslim. They both know about Islamic teachings.
Perhaps it wasn’t our fault. We fell in love even before we realize we were
going to be Step.

Zara
walked towards me and Apologized. She said: I’m sorry for everything Farad. I want
you to know that I love you and I will always do. So let’s take it to the next
level.  I felt butterflies in my tommy.I
smiled and replied her: I love you too and I’m ready to give it a try.

Priscilla
was so happy to hear this and Naomi has no choice to smile seeing love in the
air.

We
all decide to inform Dad and Step Mum about it once they’re back from work.

That
evening, we were really confused on what to say and how to present the matter
to them I was actually looking at Naomi if she could help me buh she looked
away. Dad wasn’t paying attention to us as he’s whole mind was in the News.

Zara
was the only one with the (courageous) bravest heart that night, she stood up
and switched off the TV. Dad and step mum was a bit pissed off with this.

Then
she apologized and went straight to the point by saying: I love you Farad, and
I want us to be together.

Dad
and Step mum: What???
