After my Last Visit to FGC Idoani, I would say the place looks totally Different
Last week I journeyed to FGC IDOANI to collect my school-sat Certificate and Testimonial. When I arrived at Idoani the whole place looks totally different from what I remember.
They added a little touch appearance to the entrance gate; a light green colour mixed with sprinkled white and vegetable green, it was so beautiful and it rhymes with the statue of the Head Boy and Head Girl of the College. The statue was place in the middle of a well preserved grassland full of flowers like that of garden. As I walked in, I adored her beauty once again.
My eyes were fixed on the whole environment imagining how it use to be. For me it seems better now than ever.
– The administrative block was well decorated. The photos of all the principals/Administrators of the school since 1977-2021 was placed on the Billboard. And the notice board under it seems to be sparkling new; unlike old times there use to be lots of pinned paper but now just few papers. The corridor was well polished, shinning to the extent that I could see my own reflection on the floor.. this was indeed amazing!
-The Step-B office was less crowded like it use to, I meet with some genius teachers and I learnt many had been transferred and some retired but it was still very fun to see me.
– The Staff room was fewer just like the step B office, but I found out most of the teachers here were teaching in their various assigned classes.
-The Classroom: I wowed when I saw a new classroom was built after the counselor office and all other classrooms seems to be repainted and renovated.. The classroom close to the Borehole is now for Nursery student.
– The Labs: Chemistry lab was the first lab I worked into, I met my beloved chemistry teachers on sit. They were delighted I came. The lab was cleaned and the petite were shinny; that shows they’re properly maintained. The next lab was biology lab it looks quite the same as the chemistry lab properly maintained. The physics lab was occupied, as lectures was going on, I met with the genius behind my brain work. It’s all great!
– The Library: the library was more quiet than ever when I entered, the book there well arrange and I could see some new collections added.. the library building was one building I always admire back and now I so much love what they did to this place.
– The Workshop: a change in appearance with its new colour, the buildings around it was also looking beautiful and neat.
-The Tuck shop: As always was full with bons and hot mois the environment remained tidied, I could see the students ordering to get some bons and Moi’s. Wow so funny.
– The mosque: at the mosque, I met some juniors gborging and others observing salat, well I will say this was exactly how it use to be here but the mosque was fewer than our time, I concluded that there less muslim students in this era. The toilet outside the mosque was reconstructed and painted it’s in it’s best shape now
-The Chapel: it seems like always. Beautiful! Though I didn’t take a closer look.
-The dinning hall was really fun to trip in. I remembered old times when I would stand at the centre of the hall and shout bowl your head. Seeing the students in the hall, I was like this is just how we were. The noise, the behaviour, the faces all seems the same. It’s so natural, I say hi to everyone and they were excited to know I was once one of them.
-The Hostel: the girls hostel is right under construction there’s an ongoing project, the boys hostel seems to be the same.
Everything seems to be alot different.
The Alumni’s are really trying, rebuilding the school, rebuilding the union and rebuild a stronger community!.
