On Monday night, the Organised Labour decided to postpone its indefinite strike that was set to begin on Tuesday.

The resolution was reached after more than five hours of discussions between the Federal Government and Labor in the Chief of Staff Conference Room of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Simon Lalong, the minister of labor and employment, announced the meeting’s decision to State House reporters, saying: “The NLC and TUC accept to suspend the planned nationwide strike for 30 days, starting on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. “.   According to Lalong, the Memorandum must be submitted to the appropriate court of competent jurisdiction as a consent judgment by the FG within a week.

NLC President Joe Ajaero, however, stated that if the FG doesn’t comply with the unions’ demands, they will review the agreement.  .
