On the way to the NYSC PPA, a recent graduate from UDUS passes away unexpectedly.   according to Olugbon Hawau Titilayo.

Isah Umaima, a recent UDUS graduate, died tragically in an accident in Abuja on her way to Maiduguri, Borno state, for her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) of the mandatory one-year NYSC.

The corporation or corporations that the corp member is expected to report to after leaving the orientation camp are identified by the acronym PPA.   As soon as Umaima left the NYSC camp, she traveled to Ondo state to meet her parents. The accident happened at midnight on Sunday, according to a trustworthy source.

Abubakar Rumaisa, Umaima’s best friend and the person she last spoke to before the incident, told this reporter, “We were talking on the phone ever since she left home for her PPA. About 11 p.m., I called her. I informed her that I was about to go to sleep and that I would call her first thing in the morning. “.   “When I called her in the morning, a man answered the phone, and I asked him who the phone’s owner was. She was killed in an accident last night, the man told me. I called her brother in Ondo state and they were already crying, along with her mother, which shocked and confused me. I spoke with her father as well, and he confirmed that she had passed away,” Rumaisa said.

The deceased was a native of Sokoto state and lived in the Isa Local Government Area, LGA, but her parents now reside in Ondo, a state in the southwest of Nigeria. She received a second-class lower honor in Education Physics during the 2020–2021 academic year from the Faculty of Education and Extension Services (FEES), Department of Science and Vocational Education (DSVE).

It was claimed that Umaima was the first child in a six-person family. She [Umaima] was a peace-lover, according to Rumaisa.

Since we were posted to the same camp at level 100, we have been a group. During my time at UDUS, Umaima was among the kindest and most peaceful people I encountered. She is a compassionate individual who abhors getting into disputes with anyone. She is beyond words, but she will always be in our thoughts and prayers, Rumaisa said.
