BREAKING NEWS: The Bola Tinubu-led administration has suspended the N-Power program indefinitely

The N-Power program has been put on indefinite hiatus by the Bola Tinubu-led administration.

During an interview with TVC News on Saturday, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Betta Edu made the announcement about the suspension’s indefinite nature.

Edu claimed that some irregularities in the scheme were what led to the decision.

The N-Power was a project of Muhammadu Buhari’s most recent government.

Edu stated that since the program’s inception, the government has started an investigation into the use of funds.

She said that although some beneficiaries are not in their assigned location, they still expect monthly stipends.   Some beneficiaries, in her opinion, ought to have left the program in 2022 but are still being paid.

The program will essentially be suspended for the time being while a proper investigation into the application of funds to the N-Power program is conducted, in the words of the speaker: “We must go back to look into N-Power and understand what the problems are.

“We want to know how many people are essentially enrolled in the program at this time, how many people are owed money, and how much money they owe.”.

The N-Power is being expanded and undergoes a complete restructuring.

There are many things happening. People who were supposed to have graduated from the program last year but are still claiming to be instructors have been introduced to us.

“Occasionally, when we call the school or the places where they work, no one is there. They haven’t started working yet, but they keep insisting that they are due an eight or nine-month stipend.
