NYSC Induction: A New Journey Begins for Batch B Stream 1

Today, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, marked a significant milestone as the 2024 Batch B Stream 1 swearing-in ceremony took place. With this ceremony, the prospective corps members have officially been inducted into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme and are now formally addressed as Corps Members, marking the beginning of their service year.

Following a rigorous 3-hour parade, where the Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) showcased their discipline and obedience to their commandant’s instructions, the state governors present at the ceremony addressed the PCMs and formally inducted them into the NYSC scheme, after they took the oath of allegiance.

The newly inducted corps members will now embark on a two-week journey, engaging in various activities, programs, and lectures organized by the NYSC officials. Meanwhile, the officials will be working behind the scenes to prepare their posting letters, which will determine their deployment to various locations for their primary assignment.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the newly sworn-in corps members! May God’s guidance and protection be with you throughout your service year. May you all secure fulfilling jobs and make meaningful contributions to national development. May your journey be fruitful and your impact be felt positively in the lives of others.
