The rate of fraudulent activity in Nigeria is almost 100% every blessed day there is always a story of a victim. even the smartest people are victims too. Well, that’s because these fraudsters always invent a new strategy to operate. We all need to take precaution and protect our hard-earned money.

We should be overprotective at this hard time, we should learn not to share sensitive information that can lead to us getting wrecked.

There are so many ways people can be defrauded. The most important thing to help us not fall victim is for us to learn how to be contented with what we have. Survey has found out that people fall victims to fraudsters because of greed. We should learn to be satisfied with the little money we have and we should not look for any magical means or easy means to multiply your income because this ambition or desire to make more with less stress get us in bigger mess.

For our safety, I will share some precautions that will benefit everyone.

Now let’s see the various means in which people are duped of their wealth.

1. Bank verification number (BVN) – your bank verification number is a very sensitive pin number that hackers can use to hack your bank account and transfer all your money with no trace. The use of such sensitive material should be kept private so do not share with anyone not even your loved ones.

2. Answering phone calls of people claiming to be bank customer service – this is a major means for fraudsters in Nigeria. For safety precaution notes a bank customer care service won’t call you with a Nigerian number or an American number instead they will with their customer care line which might be a landline. So always be sure of who you’re speaking with before you disclose your private information.

3. Involving yours in online investment that you have no knowledge about – most online investment companies are fake it’s very hard to know the genuine ones. If you can’t make research to find a genuine 1 please kindly avoid signing up for investments you know nothing about.

4. Avoid signing up and filling of sensitive information on websites you know nothing about.

5. Facebook impersonation – fraudsters hack Facebook account mostly and deceive the  user contact list to send them money.

There are many other ways that we haven’t listed yet.. but we promise to update this post regularly.
