As the 21-day orientation course for Batch B Stream 1 corps members in Ganjuwa LGA, Wailo, Bauchi State, drew to a close, dreams seemed within reach. With just four days left before their posting to various Places of Primary Assignment (PPA), the highly anticipated inter-platoon challenge was about to unfold, promising to transform the lives of the top three winners in unimaginable ways.

The presentation kicked off in an impressive manner, as the ten contestants were introduced one by one to showcase their innovative ideas to the audience. This was a thrilling competition among aspiring entrepreneurs, dubbed ‘corpreneurs,’ who had undergone rigorous challenges, including crafting comprehensive business plans with the potential to drive economic growth in their respective states of primary assignment.

While some participants viewed the challenge as an enjoyable experience, others saw it as an opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise, and some as a way to show support for their platoon. Some might have been aware of the grand prize, while others might have dismissed it as a rumor. Even before the presentation began, some corpreneurs’ business plans had already caught the attention of the host company, Unity Bank. With just a brief presentation, their plans were verified and deemed worthy of the top award. While all participants received smaller prizes for their efforts, the cash prize was reserved for the top three winners, who were announced as the runners-up.

After the third winner received her prize of 300,000 Naira, only two participants remained, anxiously awaiting the announcement of the second winner. The tension was palpable as the program coordinator revealed the name of the second winner, who would take home a staggering 500,000 Naira.
