Youth Empowerment Initiative: Federal Government Unveils 50,000 Naira Monthly Internship Program

President Tinubu

In an effort to promote youth empowerment and reduce unemployment in the Niger Delta region, the Federal Government has announced a Youth Internship Scheme that will provide 50,000 Naira monthly to 10,000 selected youths.

This initiative aims to provide young people with opportunities to gain valuable work experience, develop their skills, and contribute to the economic and social development of their communities. By supporting young Nigerians in this way, the government hopes to create a more vibrant and prosperous future for the region.

The Niger Delta region has been disproportionately affected by the consequences of oil exploration and production, leading to widespread environmental degradation and a host of economic and social challenges for its people. It’s thus commendable that the government has taken steps to address these challenges by creating opportunities for youth empowerment and development through the Youth Internship Scheme.

Indeed, this region, despite being the source of significant revenue for the country, has suffered greatly, and it’s only right that the government acknowledges this and takes measures to alleviate the suffering of its people.
