 The Final Run – Episode 10 (Season Finale)

 Author’s POV 

 Remember the feeling you get for a good run is far better than the feeling you get sitting around and wishing you were running…

Dad – Hello! Commissioner, This is urgent! There’s a lunatic holding my daughter captive. Please tell your men to stop the vehicle with car number “AMC-249NV”.

Commissioner – Copy that!..

Both cars were accelerating at top speed… I wasn’t comfortable with the speed and I got things more clear now. This is what real life looks like! When you meet with an Assassinatress, you should know they’re trained for every aspect of risk.

Voom!…. Rasheed stop his car on a lonely path and came out of the Vehicle…

Rasheed – Sofiat I know it’s you… No time for games, let’s end this.

Sofiat and I came out from our own car.. Meanwhile Zara struggled as she held down by a mafia who was with a gun. I looked angry not knowing what to do.

Sofiat – Hey! Boss… hand her over!. I won’t say it again!.

Rasheed – Ohh.. I’m scared (he tries to mock her)

Without wasting time, Sofiat removed her gun from her sleeves and aim a good at the head of the Mafia and shot him dead. Zara screamed in fear. The Boss retaliate by shooting back at her but Sofiat dodge the bullet and asked me to take cover.

I entered the car and hid my face praying nothing should happen to Sofiat and Zara.

Rasheed – (quickly grabbed Zara and point his gun at her) Stay down Sofiat, drop your gun.

Sofiat – (still holding her gun firmly) Just like you once said. “I’m not here for game” (she aimed at his hands which he used to hold the and shot him) Now, Like I said “I’m not here for games”. (She shoots again as he tries to pick up the gun)

Zara got freed and ran to meet me..

Rasheed – Ahh… My hand. You want vengeance. Ahh haa ahh haa. Kill me already! Or you want to play Hero?

Sofiat – Yes it’s time to play Hero! (She kicked him on his head and he pass out)…. I spare your life because there’s too much “Blood On My Hands”

Farad – Thank you so much…

Zara – Thank you Sofiat..

Sofiat – It’s okay love birds!.. my mission here is complete and I’m going far away to live better and be better..

Zara – Where will you go?

Sofiat – Never mind.. one more thing Farad. I’ll take your ride… (She entered the car and zoomed off)

The police arrived shortly but by then Sofiat was far gone. Rasheed was taken to prison and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Our Family and friends were all glad we survived this run!…

Dad – Ohh so much trouble this few years. We can’t cope with it anymore.

Step mom – Sincerely.. This would be the last one. For you two and for everyone.

Farad – What do we do next ?

Zara – We Run!

Farad – To where??

Dad – To the US… I’ve made preparations.

Priscilla – That’s what I like!… Let’s do this (she danced happily and embraced Zainab)

So we all returned home.. I packed all my luggages. As I checked through my library I found the book Priscillia was talking about, I opened the first page “IN LOVE WITH MY STEP A LOVE STORY WRITTEN BY MASUD UMORU” I hummed.. And said: I will keep this!

Few days later…

We board a flight to US where Zara and I officially tied the knot there. It was the most loveliest moment of our lives. Sometimes the love story we wished for is not mainly what we receive… Everyone’s story is different. Mine contains, love, hate, hardship and tragic. But at the end, We all learnt a lesson from it in one way or the other.

Farad – my love, you know I never thought of running but this was indeed a good suggestion. And I feel happy and safe here with you in my arms.

Zara – I feel the same way too. And I always want to wake up next to you Farad, with you I find Peace. I love you…

Farad – I love you too..

And so they lived happily ever after.. And just like every other story the moment you find Peace that’s The End…
