IN LOVE WITH MY STEP SEASON 3 EPISODE 9

 Episode 9 – The Vow

 Continuation from previous episode…

Malik Khan – Rasheed is my adopted son. Unlike Sofiat, he lost his parents at a very tender age so he became homeless. I had to carter for him and take him as my son.

Priscilla – Thank God they’re not blood siblings.. (Noami replied: Aswear)

Zara – so where is he? Where has he been hiding?

Malik Khan – That I don’t know but I know he can’t hide forever.. he will surely come out soon.

Dad and the Young Scholar came to meet us as we were still sitting on the dinning table.

Abdulrasaq – Time up Malik… We need to go. I really enjoyed my time here. And I want to Jazakallahu hayran to y’all.

Malik Khan – next time Zara.. we will get to talk about everything..

Zara – it’s okay dad… Thank care of yourself! Good night.

Malik Khan – Good night! My angel.

(They drove off…) Everyone was already feeling sleepy. The house keeper cleaned the table and we all went to bed.

The next day… I discussed in private with my dad and step mom and they were supportive of my decision which you’ll get to know soon.

The day was so fast and very unusual. I guess it’s because everyone was pretty occupied with a secret mission apart from Zara who was left behind.

Few hours before the Young Scholar’s Nikkah…

Everyone was dressed before time in other to meet up with a special moment.

Farad : Zara… Where are you?

Zara : I’m coming (struggling with her dress) Ohh no.. the naughty dress, always difficult to put on. (She shouted: Give me a minute)

Farad – We are running late already..

Zara – How?? (Surprised) aren’t we having more than 2hours to spend before the Nikkah?

Malik Khan – There’s an event which is about to take place before the Nikkah, so you need to be as fast as you can.

She came Quickly from the stairs as she heard her dad’s voice…

Zara – What’s going on here? (She saw faces she wasn’t expecting.) Dad, Summayah, Sofiat,  Adeiza, Cynthia, Jamiu… Why are you all here? And why is everyone starring at me?

Step mom – You look so beautiful my child and we all want to witness this special moment.

Farad – Zara.. Everyone here, is here because of you… And I. I never knew what true love his until I met you. I read alot of love stories and none was like you and I. We are totally different!.

Zara – (about to tear) Yeah!.. you know you’re making me curious right now.

Farad – My love (he went on his knees and present a golden ring to her)… Will you marry me?

Zara – (tears… Feeling so excited)… Oh my gosh!… Yes I will. (She hugged him after he put the ring on her finger)

It was a very beautiful moment for me and everyone present. And we all attended the Young Scholar’s Nikkah full of joy as love leads…

I enjoyed the Nikkah ceremony of the Young Scholar as the couples exchange vows and I was just picturing how mine would be. I kept starring at Zara with that look (you know).

After the Nikkah I met with the Young Scholar and we had a chit chat…

Farad – Congratulations Sir! I’m so happy for you.

Abdulrasaq – Thank you. And congratulations to you too… You’re taking a great step. I wish I took same step while I was at your age… But fate works differently and that’s why our stories are different.

Farad – Smiles… My dad didn’t lie when he said you’ll always have a wise word to say. How is it like to be called a Scholar?

Abdulrasaq – It feels like you have the world as your responsibility. And so you don’t have to fail. Because if you fail to teach the right thing then you’ll have alot of people who will blame you for their sins.

Farad – That’s awful! I don’t want to be a Scholar.

Sofiat joined the conversation

Sofiat – My Scholar… It’s nice to see you again

Abdulrasaq – Same here Sofiat.

Farad – You two know eachother??

Abdulrasaq – Yeah!

Farad – You were way too popular Young and Sofiat you know everyone how come?.

Sofiat – (Smiles) I still wonder how you easily make me smile Farad. So you want to marry two wives?

Farad – (lol) no no no… I’m fine with one.

I turned to stare at Zara again but this time she wasn’t anywhere close..

Farad – Zara… Where’s she?

Sofiat – just calm down she’s probably close by.

As I stepped a little further… I saw Zara struggling and screaming with her mouth taped. She was at back of the car, and Rasheed brought out his head from the window and waved by and zoomed off.

Tears gosh out from my eyes like rainfall.  Sofiat was full of range and the Young Scholar held her hands to calm her down. He said to her, remember what I told you.
We didn’t have to waste much time, Sofiat and I hurriedly entered my car and we followed Rasheed.

Dad, step mom and my pretty sisters where terrified. They were dumb founded on what next to do.
