Episode 3 – The Assassin
Author’s POV
Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and repeat to yourself, the most comforting words of all; this, too, shall pass. – Ann Landers
Zara spent few weeks with her dad. She had fun relating with her step brothers who were very happy they had a sister. Malik Khan told Zara few things about her biological mother and how he loved her. Zara never felt comfortable around him she feels his ways were a bit creepy. When she return back she briefed me everything I needed to know.
Zara: You kinda ask questions a lot, are you a CSI or do you want to change your field of study.
Farad: no my love, I just wanted to know few things about your dad too.
Zara: I know you just want me to be safe but I do know he loves me so much and I’m truly his daughter so with every creepy things he maybe into I don’t think he’s going to harm any of us or me.
Farad: Let’s hope so…
Zara: Stop worrying dearie…
Farad: I’m not the only one worried, the whole family is… because a lot of things has been happening and no one is safe.
Zara: What do you mean?
Farad: Don’t you know about the assassin?
Zara: what assassin? or is it about my dad being the leader of a cult group name “black axe”?. That was years ago…
Farad: No Zara, this is a lot more serious than that
Zara: Tell me, What’s going on?
Farad: There is an assassin in town, no one knows who he is but he has killed four persons just this week. He even killed two of Rasheed’s men in jail. He had been invincible according to the police.
Zara: That’s really scary… I hope it’s not Rasheed. But Rasheed can’t kill his own men.
Farad: Yes Zara.. that’s why we are worried… It could be anyone
Zara: This is really serious… But it can’t be my dad
Farad: I hope so my love (he held her at her waist and drag her closer slowly) I miss you my love.
Zara: I miss you too. (They hugged)
Later that night… While the whole guards were actively at watch, The Assassin entered the Estate and caused a beautiful distraction… My room was just a step away from the ground floor and The Assassin find it’s way through my window. I got up, in shock seeing my window wide open and in front of me was The Assassin covered in black niqab. I tried to scream but he was pointing a gun at me.
I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO? I STAYED QUIET AND HOPE I’M NOT THE FIFTH PERSON ON THE LIST.
To be continued….
