The third Episode of The Flash season 7 is titled “Mother”. It shows how Eva McCulloch becomes a mother to all her creature “mirror-minions”, while trying to take over Centre city.

Synopsis of the episode

As Eva becomes more powerful, Barry and the team must find a way to stop her; an old friend risks her life to help.

For what was supposed to be the finale of season 6, “Mother” had the potential to build up a great showdown between Team Flash and Eva. However, the way that Eva was ultimately defeated was a bit of a letdown. Her defeat is something that The Flash has done before with some of its villains in previous seasons, which is when Barry talks to the villains about the error of their ways. Read more..

Summary

Eva begins replacing people with mirror duplicates. Sue Dearbon and Ralph Dibny return with evidence to exonerate the former of Eva’s crimes, but the latter became a blob after McCulloch Technologies was destroyed. Thoug Eva convinces Barry he cannot win, Harrison comes to S.T.A.R. Labs and reminds him that h is the Paragon of Love. As Barry checks on Iris, he revives her. Barry and his team re-activate t ASF and fight the duplicates while Barry revive the original Speed Force before he and Iris convince Eva to stand down. Showing remorse, Eva tries to stop her duplicates, but they beco too powerful, so she joins forces with Barry and Iris to destroy them. After freeing her prisoners, Eva leaves for the Mirrorverse to start anew. Claiming that he can now perceive all of his life once and travel freely through time and space, Harrison decides to put himself in a time loop s he can live peacefully with his wife, Tess Morg while an exonerated Sue and a recuperating Ra travel the world to stop other Black Hole-esque organizations. 18 hours earlier, when Barry and Iris revived the Speed Force, they unknowingly released four differently colored lightning bolts.

Wall of Weird:

Elsewhere in this episode, Sue showed up with Ralph, whose face was melted in an explosion to hide the fact that Hartley Sawyer was fired from the show. At the end of the episode, Sue and Ralph, who was wearing a helmet that was helping heal his face, left Team Flash to take down more Black Hole-like organizations around the country.
