Few minutes ago before Halimat stepped into the staff room…

(Two Corpers ‘Taiye and Jennifer’ were sitting in the staff room before the cleaner arrived)

Taiye – Jennifer… You this girl! (He stares at her as she was eating that early morning) you like food too much.

Jennifer – Ehhnn… Allow me to enjoy myself biko nuu.. (she continued eating) (she took a spoon of rice and then followed it up with a tasty banana fruit)

Cleaner – (Entered upon them) Good morning my corper shun!… How Una dey na?

Taiye – We Bless God ma. (He smiled at her) how is the family?

Cleaner – Fine oohhh! (She was getting prepared to work, she dropped her mopping bucket just so close to corper Jennifer as she tried to Open the curtains behind her)

Jennifer – (Quickly chew and swallowed the food in her mouth) Well done ma. Sorry Ohh, my colleague and I go soon comot make you for fit quickly do the clean up. (She got up immediately and her clothes slides the banana peels right into the mopping bucket)

Cleaner – Una do well for my body. (Feeling excited) make I quickly clean everywhere before the other staff go come. (She started cleaning immediately)

Jennifer & Taiye – (Left the staff room)

Cleaner – (while she mopped the floor, she didn’t noticed the peels dropped off just at the entrance of the doors and that was the last place she cleaned up before she left the staff room)

Halimat – (scratching her palms without watching her footsteps. She stepped right on the peels and tries to pull herself back but couldn’t find a balance, so she fell on the floor with her heads hitting the ground)

Naziat – (screamed with her eyes wide open) Hali… (She quickly tries to raise her up)

Maryam – (seeing blood on Halimat white hijab) (she points at the spot and screamed) Look at!… She’s bleeding. There’s blood on her head. (She cries)

Faridah – (Screamed) Somebody help!!! (She was also crying) (she ran to assembly ground to call for help)

Maryam – (followed Faridah)

(Before they got back Naziat had already left with Halimat)

Naziat – (carried Halimat on her back all alone and hurried to the school gate)

Chika – (rushed to her rescue and assisted her with a lift (car)) (he helped dropped Halimat at the back seat and ran to the driver sit) What happened to her? (He asked as he starts the car)

Naziat – I can’t explain now, until we get to the hospital.

Chika – okay (droved faster)

Few minutes later…

(They arrived at the hospital and Halimat was quickly attended to by the doctor.)

Doctor – (Talking to Naziat) She will be fine. It was good you guys brought her here on time.

Naziat – Thank you very much doctor. Please I don’t want anything to happen to my friend. Please sir. I’ll go and get some money for her treatment, just make sure you attend to her please.

Doctor – (Surprised) What money are you talking about again? Her treatment bills have been cleared.

Naziat – I don’t understand. How??. By who?

Doctor – I should be the one surprised here. The young man you came together with already cleared the hospital bills. (He smiled at her) well, I must take my leave now. There’s work to do (he left)

Naziat – (surprised and stared at the handsome guy ‘chika’ who helped her got here. He was playing with an old sick patient) (she approached him)

Chika – (saw her coming) (smiled at her) Hey! You need take a sit (He continued playing with the woman who was very happy to have some to cheer her up)

Naziat – (Starts to admire him but then he noticed he was a Christian as he saw the rosery on his neck) (she sat down at the same couch giving him a very large space)

Chika – (pay attention to her) So are you okay?

Naziat – Yes… I’m fine (she bites her lips. Not knowing how to say thank you)

Chika – Okay, good. So tell me what happened?

Naziat – (feeling shy) I don’t know how to start.

Chika – (Smiled at her) of course you do… Just start anywhere .

Naziat – (she blushed and then she narrated everything and also appreciate him for his kind heart) you are really nice person.

Chika – You’re too.. and you are a very strong woman. I saw the way you lift up your friend and hastened up to save her life. I was so impressed.

Naziat – (blushed)

Chika – by the way… What’s your name?

Naziat – My name is “Naziat”.. what about you, what’s your own name?

Chika – My name is “Chika”

(Naziat eyes opened wide as she was once again reminded of Halimat’s fear. The name “Chika” rang in her ears as it was the same person Sandra was having a crush on.)
