Naziat’s POV
I realize life isn’t always bird of roses. Just because we worship Allah and obey his messenger doesn’t mean no bad fate might befall us. Take note of my word “might”. Allah will surely test us with distress but don’t give up so you won’t be among the disobedient.

At the Muslim girls lodge…

Naziat – (Feeling disappointed as she found out about the sudden arrest of the Young Scholar)

Maryam – (Tries to cheer her up)

Sandra – Who is this young scholar boy?… I’m just hearing about him

Faridah – He’s an 18year old boy who has memorized the whole Qur’an.

Sandra (Medinat) – Wow!… You mean the boy has the whole pages of this big book (Qur’an) ? That seems impossible.

Maryam – No it’s not

Halimat – That’s not all He also memorized so many Hadiths and he’s so so knowledgeable at that.

Sandra (Medinat) – That’s really incredible!… The name really suites him “Young Scholar”.. by the way, what do you mean by Hadith?

Halimat – Hadith is the words and actions of the prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)

Naziat, Maryam & Faridah – (S.a.w)

Faridah – (Thinking of a way to talk to Sandra in private) Medinat can you escort me, I need to get something.

Halimat – (Holds Sandra’s hand) Get what??.. please let her be oh.. I’m explaining something to her

Sandra (Medinat) – (Laughing silently as she watch the girls drag over her)

Faridah – (Held Sandra’s hands too) Don’t worry Medinat I’ll explain it for you just follow me.. we will be discussing on the way.

Sandra – Okay!!.. let go off me let me choose.. (she stood for a while and stared at Halimat and Faridah) Well I will like to take a walk with Faridah but sincerely I really want to hear more about the young scholar and why he was arrested.

Halimat – Okay my dear… You guys should hurry up I’m hungry and I can’t wait one minute once this food is ready. (She left to check the food on fire)

(Faridah and Sandra went for a walk and Faridah got her chance to ask more about Chike as they walked across the street)

Faridah – Humm.. (clears her throat). Medinat I’ve been wanting to ask you some questions for a while now.

Sandra (Medinat) – Okay!.. you are free to ask me anything you know.. (she face her paying more attention to her) we are sisters remember (she shows more loving expression)

Faridah – (Thinking of how she would ask her question) Let me just ask it this way.. Are you dating Chika?

Sandra (Medinat) – Ohhh…(surprised). Is that the question?

Faridah – Kinda of and I really want to hear from you… You know you can also relate to us your relationship status right (she felt nervous waiting for her response)

Sandra (Medinat) – Smiles.. I do understand my friend. I have nothing to do with Chika and I know you like him. You have nothing to be worried about.

Faridah – (shocked with her response but she tries to pretend to hid her feelings) Like him??.. no I don’t. I was just asking a question and I just wanted to know… (Feeling nervous) what am I even saying self… Just forget I asked.

Sandra (Medinat) – It’s okay.. your secret is safe with me Faridah. I see the way you look at him and he also told me about your clash with him in the hospital.

Faridah – Ohhh he said that?..(surprised). I’m really sorry for how I behaved to him that day. I hope he doesn’t see me to be a rude girl?

Sandra (Medinat) – No he don’t.

Faridah – Alhamdulilah… You guys are so close. How come you don’t like him?

Sandra (Medinat) – I had a crush on him but he never said a word and so when I decided to become a Muslim I gave up the thought of him.

Faridah – Wow… Is it that easy?..

Sandra (Medinat) – No. .. but that it was because I found someone else.

Faridah – (amazed) Really who could that be?

Sandra (Medinat) – The guy in at the gym… Habib.

Faridah – Wow… A Muslim. You are lucky my girl.

Sandra (Medinat) – Thank you (she said wearing a lovely smile)

Faridah – (stopped to get bread and soft drinks from the store close by) Abeg give me that big bread and five mineral.

Provision seller – Okay… (Picked the bread and put in a nylon and gave it to her)… Which of the mineral.

Faridah – Just bring any five (5) your hand touch (she turned back to check Sandra who was standing behind her but didn’t see her) (surprised) where did she go?… (She asked herself)

Provision seller – (Gave her the drinks in a small basket so it would be easier for her to carry it)

Faridah – Thank you very much ma.. (she appreciates the seller) Abeg you see where my friend pass?

Provision seller – Nooo… Maybe she don go house…

Faridah – okay ma.. let me just quickly go home (looked around because her disappearance was really strange)

(Faridah returned to the lodge thinking she would meet Sandra at home but things became more saddened and scary)

Faridah – (carefully dropped the drinks on the table) Where is Medinat?

Naziat – (who was still sad turned to Faridah in shock)

Halimat – The last time I remember, you and her left through that door.

Naziat – What do you mean where is Medinat?.. please I don’t want any crazy joke right now.

Faridah – (immediately took her phone from her veil and dail Sandra’s line) She’s not picking

Maryam – (knew this was serious) What happened?

Faridah – (Already in tears) I don’t know… She just left… (She tries the line again)

Naziat & Halimat – She just left what??

Stranger – Hello!.. (picks up the phone from a bush part)

Faridah – Hello.. Medinat.

Stranger – Sorry!.. I think the owner of this phone dropped it. (He ends it’s)

Faridah – No no no… I hope it’s not what I’m thinking.

Naziat – What??

Maryam & Halimat – you are scaring us, please tell us what happened.

Faridah – I think Medinat has been abducted!

Naziat – (Tears roll down her cheeks)
