What comes to your mind whenever you hear the word “Blog“? For me, I imagined owning a large volume of book on a webpage. A book that is regularly updated in order for it to remain valuable to it’s readers.

A blog can be described in so many ways depending on how you use it. From my own knowledge and findings through thesis and research works, I can define a Blog to be a detailed report about a topic of major concern which is carefully and accurately written to help readers understand more about the topic in question. Unlike a book, a blog is more unique because of it’s accessibility.

Before we explain further, let’s take a look at some definitions of a ‘blog’:

A blog is a regularly updated website or webpage, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style.

This definition tells us two important aspects of a good blog. The first aspect it speaks of is: “Regularly updated”
A blog is defined by it’s post (Rich – contents). As a blog owner (blogger) you must regularly update your blog, to do so you must update existing contents or you update new content relating to your niche.
And the second aspect is:
“Informal or Conversational style”. This deals with the writing format.
When writing a blog post, your content should be clear enough for readers to understand. The blog intro should be catchy enough to drag the readers attention and head straight to the point (main lesson or idea of the post) in other words, do not bore your readers with too much talk.

When people visit your website or blog, they’re looking for the latest information on the topic, so regularly updating your content with new insights, research, or perspectives shows that you’re invested in providing them with the best possible experience.

And yes, keeping your content updated can also enhance authenticity, clarity, and accuracy.
