Osun Muslims Seek Divine Intervention: Hold Special Prayers for Rainfall
Osun State’s Chief Imam, Shiek Musa Animasaun, led a special prayer session on Sunday to seek divine intervention for rain amidst the state’s drought.
The one-hour and 30-minute session, held at Osogbo Central Eid Prayer Ground, emphasized the importance of seeking God’s forgiveness and guidance. Animasaun urged residents to pray with a pure heart, citing Allah’s promise to respond to His servants’ calls for help.
The Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Chairman, Maruf Isola, echoed this sentiment, stating that divine intervention is necessary to combat the hardship caused by the drought, which he attributed to humanity’s disloyalty to God.
We must acknowledge and repent our sins to end this hardship. Some clerics possess Quranic knowledge but fail to use it for righteousness, instead using social media to harm others.
We’re utilizing God’s blessings to sin against Him. We need to seek forgiveness and rekindle our love for humanity, beyond material pursuits. Only by returning to God and confessing our sins will He grant us relief and send rain.
